Together to the summit – The story
A dream for many people: climbing Mount Everest once in your life. At 8848m, it’s the highest summit in the world and was considered unmanageable for many years – until Sir Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay climbed it on the 29th May 1953. Since then, more and more brave mountain climbers try to climb the “roof of the world”.
Our teams are included in this. They will experience the mountain climbing community and experience the same dangers and successes as their brave collegeaues on-site: falls, exhaustion, avalanches – and the thrilling feeling of summit happiness after successfully having climbed the mountain.
Which team will reach the summit first? What is the best way to win: in competition or cooperation with the other teams? Adventure Everest clearly shows the advantages of teamwork and offers each team member a suitable task: efficient thinking, bravery, community feeling and security are needed. Above all, it is important to know each other very well – and to plan in the ressources of each and every person well.
How Adventure Everest can develop your team further
Objective
Only as a team will you conquer Mount Everest. In this active module, you work on creating psychological security and trust which increase team performance and the ability to communicate within a team, as well as teaching the ability to manage conflicts. In your team, you have to make decisions under time pressure every now and then, come to agreements with other teams or decide against it. Adventure Everest gives you a deep insight into the status quo of the collaboration of your team and does this as a playful and lively beginning to your team development or as part of the process.
Learning effects
Nuture the collaborative work in your team, strengthen trust and communicate more clearly with your colleagues. Adventure Everest offers valuable learning effects for your sustainable team development. Experience how your team already intertwines and how it can develop further, in order to be well prepared for the projects and challenges in the future. In real life and in the real working world, mistakes can be costly. With this active module, teams can playfully try out what works and what doesn’t. Our team trainers lead the active module and reflect afterwards with your team in detail what you experienced.
Measurability
In Adventure Everest, many factors play a role that can deliver measurable information on how well the teams perfom and whether there is psychological security. The measured variables are the negotiations between the teams, the order of the return to the base camp, or the summit stones that were brought back. All variables are recoreded electronically and automatically anaysed. A wonderful foundation for the subsequent team analysis and the further development of your team.

You can play Adventure Everest with your team live on-site or online. Hybrid constellations are also possible without problem, such as the combination of an office team and colleagues in home office for example.
Adventure Everest is a bowser-based simulation, that means that every colleague with internet access and an up-to-date browser version can take part without problem if you decide on an online or hybrid version.
