The concept
Teams today are becoming more and more diverse concerning origin and nationality, amongst other things. Especially in big companies with very specific tasks for skilled workers, colleagues come from all over the world in order to work on the mutual success of the company. And the global competition means that working with customers, partners and deliverers is also becoming more and more international.
At the online team event “ Travel Around The World”, colleagues find out more about each other – and they therefore become more sensitised how different cultures form their communication, exchanges and togetherness.
The story of the team event takes us around the world over all of the continents. There’s a lot to discover there and there are exciting tasks to solve. The teams play against each other in small groups: who works together the best? Which team solves the tasks and the puzzles the quickest and returns to the starting point as the first one? For every continent, there is a master task that the team can only solve if they have answered all of the previous questions correctly.
At the end of the day, the virtual travel rucksacks are packed full of aha-experiences. And the winning team? They get a virtual world cup!
The presentation
The journey through the continents triggers a lot in the heads of the participants, a lively communication quickly begins. The presentation from BITOU supports and encourages the exchanges, and makes sure that all questions are answered.
Lovely technology
For the online simulation Journey Around The World, no software installations are necessary. The participants simply receive an invitation via email and take part through the browser. The greeting round and also the communication during the event and the concluding round take place through a meeting software of your choice. We will happily supply a meeting though Zoom or MS Teams – of course, at no extra cost.
The procedure
Loosely based on Jules Vernes, our moderator takes the teams on an entertaining “80-day journey” around the world. The teams have to master a lot of different tasks and quiz questions. The mode keeps changing from tasks that are done in the team, the exchange that takes place in the whole forum and an interplay between the teams.
